students must be employed in an apprenticeable trade and find a trades qualified employer to sponsor him/her.
must complete a min. of 480 hours of paid work by August of their grade 12 year.

may sign up as an apprentice at any time during the school year.
480 hours are put towards their apprenticeship hours once the student finishes school
apprenticeable hours may be worked on weekends, holidays, evenings or as part of their school schedule.
$1,000 Scholarship Criteria:
C+ average in their grade 12 subjects
register 1100 hours with the Industry Training Authority by Nov. 30th of graduation year
Students who already work with a certified tradesperson are encouraged to investigate the possibilities of starting an apprenticeship.
